Color

As I was designing a frame this morning, I was thinking...which usually gets me in trouble.  But think about it..where ever you go..the bank, the dentist, the lawyer, the hospital...where ever,  If they have pictures on the wall, they are usually REALLY boring. Simple, skinny, often metal frames. White mats (I hate white mate), maybe a lined with a linen insert to "dress it up".  NOT!  How much better would that picture look with a little color! (Other than that pastel 2nd mat that you have to really squint to see, and usually falls right into the picture and is invisible). I'm a fan of color. It livens up the room and brightens up the picture. Sometimes I get a little too much into color for some customers, but I like to show them how it makes a difference in how the art looks. If they say "Whoa..to much" we'll back off a bit. That's the fun of custom framing...you can have what you like and not have to settle for what someone else thinks is nice.
I have lots more to talk about color..but we'll hold it for another day..
Have a good one..Luann

  1. Hi Lu,

Welcome to the world of blogging. I love it and try to update mine at least a couple of times a week.

We have to set up a date to come down and pick up our new framed pictures. I am so anxious to see them...
